A Project Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Description
Position Description:
To support the current cycle plan across our client’s programmes through various validation events & tool creation, including:
•Guidance/supporting of SDV (vehicle) matrix creation & validation by build phase with minimal specification variance
•Supporting Product Definition & Prototype Operations in creation of vehicle specification sheets & validation
•Managing prototype vehicle specification load validation (GPIRS out put against SDV Matrix)
•Supporting & reporting on vehicle Bill of Material (BoM) validations at various build phases
•Assist in change management & green list events
•Management of Product Information Bill of Material validation issue resolution (Aims creation and resolution for Product Information Issues).

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Microsoft Excel - Expert level (must be able to write formulas and macros, as well as data manipulation). Aptitude for communication, influencing people, and negotiation. Understanding of Engineering and the Change Management process. Good business acumen and project management skills. History of involvement in process improvement and development.

Skills Preferred:
Highly driven individual with proactive personality and strong interpersonal skills. Able to work with minimum supervision.

Experience Preferred:
Bill of Material, AIMS - issue management, GPIRS, SDV matrix creation, WERS.

Education Required:
Degree in a relevant discipline preferred but not essential.

Additional Information:
Travel between sites to support Product Information and Programme meetings and events.
