An Electrical Build Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Position Description:
Electrical Build Engineer

Skills Required:
Programme Management skill set. Good whole vehicle assembly knowledge. Good understanding of OEM vehicle electrical architectures. Experience in planning and delivering all electrical aspects of prototype vehicle builds.

Skills Preferred:
Good working knowledge of OEM systems.

Job Requirements
Electrical Build Engineer Responsibilities-
Collate electrical build issues & information and provide daily build status reporting. Ensure planned day by day progress in build is achieved, escalating build stopping electrical issues to avert hold ups where necessary. Provide build information to update daily tracker. Direct completion of CCARS by Group Leaders and associates providing technical guidance. Ensure all electrical sign off documentation completed prior to vehicle hand over. Lead CCAR reviews and ensure in build resolutions are sought and CCAR updated accordingly throughout each day. Ensure Pre-AIMS completed then raise AIMS within 48 hours. Raise all perm AIMs identified in build within 48 hours. Identify and communicate electrical build issues to JET team and pursue timely high quality resolutions. Instigate and deploy containment actions to prove route cause has been fully understood. Identify overtime requirements in support of build plans. Ensure that electrical functionality check lists and software download package are in place and validated. Ensure that electrical software and hardware delivery plans are in place to meet the build timing.

Details
Experience Required:
Experience in automotive electrical hardware and software problem identification and resolution. Planning and Project Management experience.

Experience Preferred:
Prototype Vehicle Builds

Education Required:
Relevant experience (degree preferred).
