Supplier Development Manager

Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.
Due to growth plans a position of Supplier Development Manager has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below
- Delivering significant improvements in supplier arrears, on-time delivery, lead-times, and premium freight.
- Negotiating materials / supply agreements that significantly improve supplier agility, while maintaining our higher-level performance metrics (on-time customer fillrates, profitability targets, inventory turns, etc).
- Working closely with plant materials to ensure accurate schedules are being launched on suppliers.
- Improving complex multi-tier supply chains (such as casting and machining suppliers),
- Developing, maintaining, and communicating an ongoing, balanced scorecard of supplier performance.
- Performing on-site audits of lower-performing suppliers, developing detailed improvement plans, and delivering the results quickly.
Qualified to degree or equivalent level in Business or Engineering, you should have significant previous experience in a supplier management, purchasing, materials management or global logistics environment and be able to demonstrate:
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong project leadership skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in the EMEA region or Globally.
- Strong analytical / quantitative skill set.
- Proficiency in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing
