A Catia V5 Engine Architecture Design Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.
Description
These roles are to lead the technical integration, compatibility design and modelling / surfacing strategies for gasoline and diesel engine programmes. The roles will be to lead the architecture design direction for the engines, manage a team of modellers offshore and to interface with the main design and vehicle engineering teams.

Engine architecture experience mandatory combined with high level CATIA modelling, surfacing and parametric design table knowledge.

Experience Required:
Must be an experienced engine architecture designer, must be a CATIA V5 expert in engine engineering, major casting modelling and surfacing , must be able to lead an offshore team, must have installation knowledge of east west / north south vehicles, be familiar with OEM vehicle dynamic constraints and must be aware of all OEM vehicle architecture.
Experience Preferred:
These are two key roles within engine engineering and are only appropriate for designers with a high level of CATIA model / surface capability combined with vehicle installation knowledge.
Education Required:
Minimum of HNC.
