System Integration Engineer - eKERS (NL01E1)
Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking a contract or permanent System Integration Engineer

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Engineer will work on engine control integration and be responsible for the validation and test of control systems comprising uP, transducers, control algorithms, software. You will devise tests and problem solve issues with system functionality in a real time environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Application of high performance hybrid systems, actuators and sensors (E-Motor, Power electronics, batteries)
* Electrical integration of F1 hybrid control systems into an F1 race car
* Key role in the design, development, validation and application of hybrid control units, power electronics, motors, battery disconnect systems, batteries, BMS systems, GFI systems, sensors and actuators
* Specify validation tests
* Provide rapid root cause failure analysis and solutions to the business
* Document specifications and procedures as required


Essential Requirements:

* Degree level or higher qualified in Engineering
* 3 years experience in automotive development environment
* System and component testing, fault finding and troubleshooting
* Experience of high voltage (1kv) and high power systems

Desirable Attributes:

* Awareness of automotive hardware and software design and validation processes
* Automotive sensors and actuators component development
