Logistics Analyst

Our client is a major supplier of automotive seating systems. The purpose of the Logistics Analyst role is to work as part of the Production Control Parts Procurement Team.
You will be responsible for generating monthly and weekly delivery schedules for suppliers, daily JIT ordering and ensuring goods received meet company delivery requirements. You will work with HUM to ensure ad hoc requirements are met, ensure design change implementation is met for new model activity, monitor supplier delivery performance against targets and maintain inventory accuracy and control with material services. You will also deal pro-actively with any forecasted production shortages.
The company is looking for someone with a high level of communication skills (written and verbal) and with some background and understanding of logistics and manufacturing. You will need knowledge of project planning and working as part of a project and good PC skills (Excel and Access as standard). MRP experience would be advantageous and you must have excellent organisational skills and experience of inventory control principles. Additionally, you must be able to work within a challenging environment and must be able to work as a team member or as an individual with minimum supervision. You will have a flexible approach and persistent nature.
