A PD Electrical Systems Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Basildon, Essex.

Description
This engineering position is responsible for the Design Verification Process and vehicle sign off for new commercial vehicle electrical systems. This process requires the use of the corporate Design Verification System, and reports to the Sign Off Supervisor. The Sign off engineer must establish a good relationship with the Electrical Design team to coordinate and report the Sign Off status and the preparation of "in-process" metric documents for Chief Engineer and Director level review. Work with the relevant component / system engineers to manage the Sign Off process through the relevant GPDS (Global Product Development Process) gateways / milestones using the Design Verification System data base and reporting system. Job Requirements
...Establish and organise the weekly Sign off review meeting management level. Prepare "in process" Sign off document for Chief Engineer and Vehicle Director review. Management of Chassis and vehicle Issues and resolution tracking. Update of Integrator database and prepare the Sign-off documentation.

Skills Required:
Vehicle Electrical Systems and attribute interaction knowledge must be demonstrable, especially in electrical systems & architecture, (BUS systems, CAN, LIN and related tools such as CANAlyzer). Good understanding of electrical vehicle sub-systems, e.g. power supply, Keyless, Audio, etc. Knowledge of OEM Corporate eFDVS, GPDS, AIMS, Integrator project management processes are a requirement, (via training if required). Meeting management, note & minutes taking, organisational skills and ability to negotiate; issue resolution. PC literate, MS Office, etc. Full driving License.

Skills Preferred:
Vehicle testing experience.
