Our client is recognised as a leading manufacturer of industrial diesel engines. Based in Peterborough, the Senior Staff Accountant will join a diverse, progressive global finance team of approx 90 staff and report into the Senior Accounting Supervisor. You will work closely with the wider business community to provide support to the whole business and must be a qualified Accountant.

This role has high visibility across the business and needs someone who not only excels in finance but who also has excellent communication, influencing, troubleshooting and leadership skills. You must be able to communicate at all levels of the business, have experience of working in a large complex business environment, have proven ability to drive change and initiate action and be able to manage cross-functional relationships.

You will be responsible for the timely update of Fixed Asset Registers along with associated reconciliation in line with company processes, will complete all monthly reporting in line with published deadlines, carry out appraisal and approval of Requests for Investment, take the the Finance lead on Capital budgeting and forecasting processes and have a key understanding of capitalisation policies within the business.

You will also be responsible for providing leadership/expertise on complex business, financial and managerial issues within the business and carry out effective communication of all Capital related matters across all levels of the business. Additionally you will give a monthly presentation of Capital Reports to the Technical Director and senior management.
