Position Description:
Responsible for maintaining the MOST standards and Design Verification Methods. Technical contact for MOST network standards. MOST Cooperation and SMSC industry standards key fact holder, provide technical expertise in MOST low level issue resolution and deviation approval. Develop and deliver training material for application of networks standards and processes. Develop and roll out systems engineering processes and associated design tools. Support continuous development of CAN/LIN/CCF standards and DVMs. Support research and development of new standards and processes to introduce technologies such as Flexray and Ethernet. Provide technical support during resolution of networks related issues.

Skills Required:
Candidates shall be able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of vehicle communication network protocols (such as CAN, LIN, MOST) and design requirements, and an understanding of hardware and software design and electrical integration concepts such as diagnostics and SWDL. Shall have excellent negotiation skills, ability to build relationships with suppliers, project management and communication skills, be self motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision.

Skills Preferred:
Systems Engineering training/qualifications. Infotainment system knowledge and experience. Good understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP, all of our client s vehicle network architectures, including their diagnostic and manufacturing requirements.

Experience Required:
Essential experience includes design, integration and debug of complex functions spanning multiple ECUs, development of networked systems, use of network development tools, writing to the client s standards and DVMs. Good understanding and experience of MOST systems and protocols.

Experience Preferred:
Experience performing FMEAs. Experience of HIL simulation tools and network/architecture design tools.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline.


Additional Information:
Initially based at Whitley, eventually moving to Gaydon, with occasional offsite days at Loughborough University.
