Our client is a leading manufacturer of industrial diesel engines. This particular HR Department supports the business in increasing employee engagement, leads the company in Environment, Health, Safety and Security, drives effective communication and ensures that the company has a talented workforce in the right place at the right time to deliver the business plan. A vacancy has arisen within the Operational HR team who interface directly with the various customer groups, ensuring people initiatives are driven forward and implemented across the organisation.
This is a contract position and working as a strategic partner within a defined area of the medium engines team you will be responsible for facilitating and driving the people meeting framework and strategy for your customer group, will operate within the boundaries of employment law to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and work with the different Business Units to ensure consistency and clarity of HR policies throughout the business. You will interface with leaders, employees and Occupational Health to manage short and long term absence, identify hourly recruitment needs with the leaders managing the hourly recruitment process including administration, assessment support and metrics, undertake deployment of policies and practices throughout the employment life cycle including resourcing, performance management, development and exit interviews, create and deliver policy training and development to supervisors and leaders, support deployment of the hourly people plan and provide support and coaching to leaders in managing performance.
It is essential that you have HR generalist experience in any sector, strong communication and presentation skills and excellent knowledge of all aspects of Employee Relations with an ability to manage volume activity.
