Senior Engineer - Manufacturing Feasibility Engineer (Battery)

£29 - 31 per hour + ?30/hr
Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
*Provide a good working knowledge of manufacturing lean techniques and disciplines.
*Working knowledge of manufacturing digital tools - VIS mock up/Delmia.
*Demonstrate the need for DFM and educate both engineering and supplier base.
*Prove out the assembly process through digital and pilot build phases focusing on battery quality and DFM techniques.
*Support pilot build activities, resolving engineering issues and product quality not compromised.
*Support vehicle launch activities.
*Good working knowledge of EV battery processes with particular attention to Lithium ion cell technology.
Essential Skills
*Degree qualified or similar qualification.
*Strong numeracy and literacy.
*Minimum of 5 years automotive experience essential.
*Capable of leading a project element.
*Demonstrate depth of knowledge in a relevant technical speciality.
*Flexibility to travel to Norway will be required.
