Position Description:
The PCS or Product Creation System is the Business Process for new product delivery. This exciting and fast paced department is the heart of the OEM business, driving change and process improvements throughout the OEM Business. The PCS departments Interfaces with all functions within OEM .The purpose of the PCS function is to define and implement the next generation of the Product Creation process and tools and technologies which deliver competitive times to market with high quality product launches. Our scope covers: Current PCS vision and development, Future Product Creation Process vision and improvement including strategic planning and new technology development process, we are also the conscience for the vehicle programme gateway governance, providing vehicle health and gateway metrics to the ECM. PM Homebase also provides best practice learning across programmes and a programme management hub. More great sustainable products, faster. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work within the PCS and PM Homebase team, a part of the PD Operations Organisation. As a member of the PCS team the successful candidate will be responsible for aspects of the current and future Product Creation processes .They will work on specific projects to improve existing processes and to develop competitive new ones. External benchmarking and intelligence gathering contributes toward this critical work. Manage and facilitate process improvement projects powered by the SiPPE process improvement tool. Attend, support and present at PCS governance forums (from level 3 to level 0 - Board Level).Manage several BSAP high hurt project - leading teams from all business functions to deliver excellence into the OEM business Engage and work with all levels within OEM including senior management up to and including Board level and ECM, rare exposure for this grade.

Skills Required:
Key role elements will be:- Take responsibility for the development of new and modified OEM processes which deliver effective and efficient Product Creation. Take a leading role (Project Manager or Leader) on specific process development projects. Lead discussions which achieve agreement to the developed processes, at the working level and senior management level Lead the deployment of new processes into the OEM business, developing and delivering training and coaching where appropriate. This may include developing, leading and presenting at training events. Be an advocate and leader in the continual improvement of processes owned by our client, using LEAN principles, the application of six-sigma methodology and the application of local process improvement methods.

Experience Required:
experience working in industry (Automotive Preferred) in a project management and/or process or business change role. Experience of utilising Lean tools.

Education Required:
A relevant Degree or HND preffered (Engineering, manufacturing, technology)
