Design Engineer

£26k - 32k per year
Design / Project Engineer – £28- £35k – Mechanical Handling / Engineering – Sheffield
A Design / Project Engineer is required with experience of Solidworks or Pro Engineer 3D Design software to work as part of a team on bespoke mechanical engineering projects across a variety of sectors, including Nuclear, Manufacturing and Power Generation.
You will be involved in projects from initial meetings through to delivery and will be producing clear and accurate designs in line with project specifications for a market leading mechanical handling company.
You will be producing calculations for structural work and motors, working closely with both Sales and Projects team. Responsibilities include;
- Produce parts lists and relevant supplier technical documentation and quotations
- Ensure all documentation and correspondence relevant to the project design is up to date and stored within company standards.
- Responsible for quality control of design of process
- Compile technical folder to comply with CE and CDM requirements
- Work within the Health and Safety regulations and comply with CE and CDM
In addition to SolidWorks or ProEngineer 3D, candidates should have experience of working with MathCad software.
