Position Description:

Within Advanced Engines the P&E engineer is responsible for delivery of the P&E testing for concept engine programmes to support concept approval. They will lead specific development activities, feeding the results back to the relevant customers ensuring these are delivered on time. They also support planning activity for future programmes.

Skills Required:

The candidate should have first-hand experience of engine testing combined with a strong working knowledge of engines and their associated systems. They need to be self-driven, able to work alone or as part of a team, and have an understanding of Product Development processes, GPDS principles, instrumentation and test facilities.

Skills Preferred:

Good analytical skills & PC skills Excel, Word and Project Experience of using AVL Indimaster and Concerto data analysis software Working knowledge of gasoline and / or diesel engine, powertrain systems and calibration Disciplined approach on planning, prioritisation and records keeping Must have a driving license valid for use in the UK"

Experience Required:

Experience of engine testing either on dynomometers or in vehicle. Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment. Good communication, interpersonal skills and self-confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Experience Preferred:

Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain systems are considered desirable. A knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial.

Education Required:

Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline, or suitable previous experience
