Position Description:
D7A Programme Management. Reporting to the Platform Programme Manager on D7a. Key Responsibilities include, the development and implementation of platform governance processes and the control of the platform deliverables through programme milestones, lead platform programme steering team, management of issues, driving of issue resolution. The facilitation and progression of prototype and production component and tooling engineering releases (S, T and P releases) and the tracking of component maturity. Location primarily will be Gaydon based, but will require working at other West Midlands sites (Whitley, Browns Lane, Solihull) from time to time.

Skills Required:
Project Planning and Control skills are essential. Full Driving license.

Skills Preferred:
Good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a "passion for the product" are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high-pressure environment, being self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. An ability to assist in the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. An ability to evaluate the progress of Quality, Cost, Functional and Timing status for all engineering areas.

Experience Required:
Experience of project management across a number of programmes running concurrently. Experience of relevant components and systems and materials and production processes used in the manufacture of automotive components and systems. Experience of Product Change systems. Knowledge of OEM project management process.

Experience Preferred:
Experience of Bill of Material Management. Previous experience within Core Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Launch experience are desirable as is a good knowledge of product development processes. Experience of project or supplier management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost-effective delivery.

Education Required:
Be qualified to HND/degree level.
