An Hybrid Launch Coordinator engineer is required to work on contract for our client who specialise in luxury cars, the position will be based in the West Midlands.

Position Description:
Support and attend Board Walks, PCPA reviews, AIMS reviews, FMS reviews, and other relevant meetings as required. Coordinate and drive problem resolution and appropriate containments via AIMS and associated reviews. Coordinate and support Hybrid component and vehicle re-work activities. Coordinate and support parts validation and software integration activities. Coordinate and support PD-related Right First Time (RFT) and First Time Through (FTT) investigations. Coordinate and support PSW activities to achieve required level at each build phase, and ensure appropriate WERS Alerts are in place. Support root cause analysis and investigation of vehicle Hybrid system issues arising during launch. Support investigation of VCATS end-of-line test issues arising during launch. Coordinate and support build activities and line trials with Production and AME to ensure components fit for purpose and assembly. The successful candidate will also be expected to champion some of the Launch or Plant processes on behalf off the team and attend meetings as required, coordinating and reporting responses, and acting as a single point of contact.

Skills Required:
Vehicle diagnostic skills, including ability to use laptop-based diagnostic tools such as CANalyser and ASL Essential. Knowledge of whole vehicle Electrical and Powertrain systems Essential. Knowledge and experience of Manufacturing plant processes Essential. Knowledge of AIMs, WERs, FMS Essential. Knowledge of software control plans Desirable. Presentation skills Essential. Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation Essential. Ability to assimilate large quantities of data Essential. Capable of working in a reactive and pressured environment where rapid turnaround of issues is expected Essential. Knowledge of Quality/Problem Solving Tools (Global 8d, 6 Panel, Form 4 etc) Desirable. Knowledge and experience of PVT Desirable. Good communication, negotiation and project management skills Essential, to Able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision Essential.

Experience Required:
Experience of working as part of a plant based launch or PVT team. Previous Team leadership Experience.

Education Required:
Degree
