Design Technical Leader-Aerostructures

REQUIREMENTS: Role Summary/Purpose :
In this role you will act as a technical leader for composite and metallic design. You will be called upon to act as a technical expert solving technical issues and using your technical expertise to help design a technically sound product. You will also approve designs prepared by others and mentor and help develop less experienced engineers within the team.

Essential Responsibilities :
In this role you will:
- Act as a technical authority on aerostructures design primarily supporting the Airbus A350 program but also supporting other aerostructures programs where required
- Review and approve designs as required for the program while maintaining appropriate compliance to technical specs
- Participate in design reviews, customer meetings and supplier meetings as required
- Mentor and guide more junior engineers
- Develop innovative solutions to design problems
- Use your expertise to facilitate design excellence within the aerostructures team.
Qualifications/Requirements : - Bachelors degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or qualified by experience to an equivalent level
- Significant experience within an aerostructures design environment
- Possesses design approver authority with Airbus.
