Press Technician-Schuler Press Line-Automotive Firm-Shifts

A varied and highly specialised role for an automotive firm based out of Birmingham, you'll be responsible for the Schuler Press Line within the company. We are looking for a person who has worked on Schuler Presses before and is capable of providing technical support all things press related to the production team, this includes being the point of liaison for technical issues.
You'll be responsible for the running the press on the shift, informing the maintenance teams of possible future problems and taking your own corrective maintenance procedures, this would also include the administration duties in relation to the press. Working to lean principles is very sought after, in particular 5S, SMED and 7W, the organisation operate within a TS environment so automotive experience is desirable.
The person must be educated in mechanical or electrical engineering in some form and have hydraulic experience also. This role has come about due to a promotion of the current incumbent so there are opportunities to proceed with the company.
The role is shift based (early, late and night) with an early finish on Friday, on offer is a very good basic salary and a good shift allowance also.
