A Diesel EMS Hardware Integration Engineer is required to work on contract for our client who specialise in luxury cars, the position will be based in the West Midlands.

The role will encompass a number of responsibilities, some of which are listed below:
- Delivery of EMS ECU hardware to new vehicle programmes.
- Liaise with the PT engineering teams, suppliers and internal customers to deliver the EMS ECU to quality and cost targets and on time.
- Manage all quality activities including FMEA and Quality History Review.
- Report project status and ensure compliance with all PCS, SDS, eFDVS and APQP requirements.
- Work effectively with the EMS supplier to deliver production releases and engineering sign-off.
- Support all relevant Electrical Engineering requirements such as Device Transmittals, Circuit Reviews, Grade Reviews, EMC etc.
- Perform Practical FMEA activities.
- Software calibration of associated hardware functions.
- Work effectively with the Sensors and Actuators team to ensure robust component interfaces manufacturing issues.

Skills Required:
Hardware specification and testing in automotive environments, ideally EMS related. Good project and supplier management and communication skills. Proven record of project leadership and delivery of ECU hardware. Must be highly motivated and able to foster good working relationships with customers. Experience of component or system delivery. Systems engineering for Electronics. Good analytical skills and PC literate. Strong understanding and application of Design quality tools (DFMEA, Robustness, etc). Good working knowledge of the project delivery and change management systems, of our client, PCS, eFDVS, AIMS, WERS etc.

Skills Preferred:
6 Sigma Green Belt trained. Experience with EMS hardware specifications. Experience with associated EMS sensors and actuators. Knowledge of EMS Systems and tailpipe emissions standards. INCA/EMS calibration experience.

Experience Required:
Proven experience with automotive hardware delivery, ideally Powertrain related.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level, in a relevant field or subject.
