Design Engineer - AUTOCAD - Automotive - Kent - £Neg
A Design Engineer is required for an initial 6 month contract to produce SOLIDWORK models / detailed drawings for components used in next generation common rail [CR] pumps and injectors. This includes both 'clean sheet' solutions as well as the re-use of features from existing designs for this design and manufacturer of diesel fuel injection equipment.
As the Design Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Detailing and checking of component drawings for current and future applications of fuel pumps/injectors for the automotive market.
Assure GDandT and other drafting standards are applied to new component drawings.
Assist the Principal Design Engineer with design changes.
Assist the flawless Launch for all new product programmes.
The successful applicant will hold a minimum HNC in mechanical engineering or equivalent with proven experience in design draughting within a production-type environment.
Must have experience of SOLIDWORKs (or similar) modelling and draughting experience along with basic physics.
