An User Interface Project Engineer is required to work on contract for our client who specialise in luxury cars, the position will be based in the West Midlands.

Position Description:
Our client plans to dramatically accelerate the development of in-vehicle UI in order to meet and exceed customer expectations within our future vehicle lines. To support this we are looking for an experience project engineer with a background in agile development. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplined team with the responsibility for design development and delivery of the touchscreen UI for all OEM future vehicles. The successful candidate will manage the delivery aspect of the project calling on the support of the skills of a variety of teams to ensure the project timing is met for both the 1st implementation and the subsequent upgrades. The position offers an ideal opportunity for a well organised, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to play a key role it the development of a leading edge infotainment system for the premium vehicle sector.

Skills Required:
Strong project management skills In-depth knowledge and experience of "Agile" development. Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organisation. Excellent organisational skills in a dynamic environment Knowledge of UI software architectures and development tools. Excellent communication and requirements capturing/questioning skills (written and verbal) Very good logical and analytical thinking Ability to work quickly, effectively to a high standards while coping with requirements change Good team work but with ability to work independently and self-efficiently when required.

Experience Required:
Reasonable project delivery experience managing resourcing across a wide range of disciplines. Experience delivering functionality for consumer electronics devices or similar Experience with risk management of complex software development projects.

Experience Preferred:
Active participant in projects utilising scrum based development. Experience managing change within organisations.

Education Required:
While not essential a degree in software engineering or subject closely related to consumer electronics would be desirable.

Education Preferred:
Formal project management qualifications.
