A Value Management Engineer is required to lead the identification, development and delivery of material cost reduction across several major developments within a market leading design/manufacture of high end luxury/SUV/off-road vehicles based in the West Midlands

This role is part of an exciting new expansion of the team to meet increasing demands with the launch of future models.
You will have knowledge and experience with;
- Value Analysis / Value Engineering toolsets
- Robust understanding of Total Value Management TVM
- Lean work streams and an understanding of total cost engineering.
- Proven project management skills
- Good business acumen and knowledge of finance analysis
- Cost reduction initiatives, tools and techniques
- Benchmarking

 
You will lead the development of engineering and purchasing actions, in conjunction with our suppliers, with the specific aim of reducing the cost of components / assemblies, whilst ensuring cost reduction actions progress to plan. You will need to liaise with Plant Logistics and Manufacturing so the role may require travel between the primary location atGaydon and Whitley / Castle Bromwich / Solihull / Halewood)
