Mechanical Engineer – Structural Materials - Cambridgeshire - £Neg

Mechanical Project Engineer is required for this leading structural materials company based in Cambridgeshire to work on key capital projects within the UK.

You will lead engineering projects with responsibilities for project performance with respect to meeting functional requirements, budget control, project implementation timing plans.
Provide mechanical engineering expertise in a capital project environment, including design, building and commissioning activities.
Participate in and lead Risk assessment activities including for process (HAZOP), machine safety (PUWER), Hazardous Area Classification.
Help the continuous development and maintenance of site engineering standards.

Ideally degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, the successful applicant will possess industrial experience of capital project implementation in a chemical process environment together with a working knowledge of PUWER regulations to ensure machine compliance for new and upgrade plant.

Demonstrable experience in budget and timescale control within a project environment.
